Katie & 6 friends from her running club, Redditch Stars, decided back in February this year to take on the challenge of the virtual London Marathon after they didn’t get offered a place in ballot for the London Marathon.

They have been training over the last 5 months, gradually increasing their miles each week (to try & avoid injuries). Each one of them had doubted they would get there, but they all passed the finish line on Sunday 3rd October! They ran their 26.2 miles around Redditch, Sambourne, Studley, Alvechurch & Hopwood, finishing at the Abbey Stadium in Redditch.

They had amazing support all along the route from their families, friends & fellow runners.

It was tough & painful towards to the end, but they were all elated to complete it.
